One of the most important pilgrimage sites dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the former Duchy of Savoy.
The site, sometimes called "the little Savoyard Lourdes", is one of the most important places of pilgrimage dedicated to the Holy Virgin in the former duchy of Savoy. Legend has it that during the plague epidemics of the 16th century, the population found refuge near its source. Convinced of its curative qualities, they later built an oratory there. In 1617, 14 miraculous cures were recorded there. In addition to the spring, there is the Marian site, consisting of a chapel, a Way of the Cross and an oratory, as well as a reception office and accommodation.
