A Chablais Geopark site. It's a beautiful lake in the heart of the mountains, at the foot of the Roc d'Enfer. It was formed by a landslide in 1943, and the ruins of sunken hamlets can still be seen. To take in the view and the emerald colors of the lake, follow the path around the lake. You can also reach the medieval chapel or the Diomaz waterfall (a two-hour walk). A magnificent, peaceful place to enjoy nature with your family. Also popular with fishermen.
