A funicular that climbs 300 metres to reach Neuvecelle with a panoramic view.

Inaugurated in 1907, this funicular railway effortlessly climbs the 300 m difference in altitude between the upper and lower stations. Listed as a historic monument, this funicular is a rare piece of railway heritage. Originally designed to transport spa guests, it is now one of the town's must-see attractions. From the top, after a short walk to the Parc Clair Matin, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Top station refreshment bar open in summer.

Funiculaire Evian-Neuvecelle à Evian-Les-Bains

A Evian-Les-Bains, le funiculaire Evian-Neuvecelle est devenue une attraction prisée pour pourvoir aller admirer sans fatigue la vue sur la ville et le Lac Léman depuis le Parc Clair Matin, étant donné qu’il s’y arrête à proximité. Mais malheureusement pour moi, janvier est une période « morte » et le funiculaire était en révision. J’ai donc dû m’en passer pour cette fois-ci, mais j’espère avoir plus de chance lors d’un prochain séjour dans la région.

Nous voulions pendre le funiculaire au niveau de la source Cachat mais nous avons du descendre le prendre à la gare du départ car il était tout le temps plain à l'aller comme au retour.
Le funiculaire est typique mais il n'y a pas grand chose à voir pendant le trajet ni en haut.

Funiculaire gratuit en plein centre ville. Permet une belle ballade. Monsieur très accueillant. Un bon moment à passer en famille pour faire découvrir la ville autrement.
