The castle of Clermont-en-Genevois is remarkable by its Savoyard architecture with Renaissance influence.

The castle of Clermont en Genevois is remarkable for its Savoyard architecture with Renaissance influence: its monumental façade, its interior galleries and its square courtyard. The only testimony of this style in Haute-Savoie. Built between 1576 and 1580, converted into an agricultural estate, it was classified as a historical monument in 1949. One takes advantage of the guided tours, some of which take the form of historical investigations. Since its acquisition in 1966 by the General Council of Haute-Savoie, the castle is a cultural center dedicated to live performances.

Lovely place to visit. Peaceful and interesting local historical site. We were staying in the local area and decided to pop in and have a look around. The views from the Chateau are lovely, the staff friendly and for €3 for adults and €2 for children was priced well. The local village is a nice quiet place to have a wander as well.

Superbe visite guidée, merci au guide lors de notre visite familiale. Découverte de ce château rempli d'histoires. Lieu paisible et rempli d'énergie positive.
Parking facile d'accès avec une cinquantaine de place.

Un très beau château. A découvrir notamment en juillet lors du festival Clermont en Scène où on peut visiter, re-visiter le château et assister à des spectacles et des concerts au top!
