At the Old Customs House, the Centre d'Interprétation de la Contrebande en Montagne which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022, we go back in time in the history of Châtel. When the border village was not yet a resort with lifts linking the two countries and when smugglers were cunning in crossing the summits without being caught by the "gabelous" (police and customs officers). An original and surprising look at the village and its strategic place, as well as its inhabitants. Animations during the summer: investigation games, secret operations...
