COMMUNAUTE DE COMMUNES FAUCIGNY GLIERES
Effective on1 January 2006, the Faucigny Glières Community of Communes originally included 5 communes (Ayze, Bonneville, Contamine-sur-Arve, Petit-Bornand-les-Glières and Vougy). They were joined in 2009 by the commune of Brison, then in 2010 by the commune of Marignier. In 2019, the communes of Entremont and Petit-Bornand-les-Glières merged to become Glières-Val-de-Borne, a commune integrated into the Faucigny Glières territory. Communes that share competences to better develop together. The Community of Communes has compulsory responsibilities, such as spatial planning, economic development - with the promotion of tourism - or the collection and treatment of household waste, water and drainage. It also exercises competences at the service of the inhabitants: roads, early childhood, children, youth, housing, social cohesion. It is also a space of solidarity so that its 7 communes share the future of a territory which must combine economic development and protection of its environment.
