Friendly café-restaurant-wine bar just opposite the priory, serving delicious home-cooked à la carte dishes.

Very friendly café-restaurant and wine bar. Caroline serves delicious home-cooked dishes exclusively from the à la carte menu, which changes every 15 days. Large mixed salads, carpaccios and tartars, fish of the day, butcher's cuts and desserts of the day. Mickaël, the sommelier, advises on the best vintage to match the dish. He may surprise you with a lesser-known wine from his selection. Afternoon terrace, ice creams, desserts and cold drinks. In the evening, tapas, cheese and a full dessert menu. A variety of over 30 wines are served by the glass.

De passage sur Souvigny, je me suis arrêtée dans ce restaurant, où l'accueil fut très sympathique. Au menu, j'ai pris des rillettes de thon, qui étaient fraîches et savoureuses, ensuite du magret de canard, je n'avais que trois petits morceaux dans l'assiette, j'ai trouvé cela un peu léger, accompagné d'une ratatouille, un peu trop relevé à mon goût, enfin je pensais finir sur un bonne note, en prenant mon dessert préféré la Pavlova, mais franchement j'ai été déçue. Normalement la meringue est au cœur de ce dessert, mais là c'était carrément du revisité, seulement quatre petites meringues industrielles, de chaque côté de l'assiette et une autre émiettée sur la chantilly, la glace et les fruits frais. Cela reste tout de même bon.
