A museum workshop retracing the history of silk and allowing to better know this ancestral activity in Taulignan.
Taulignan is home to a workshop-museum that takes you back in time. From the white silk unraveling from its cocoon to the weaving of the shimmering fabric, but also from the origins of the silk route. During silkworm rearing season, from May to September, the tour includes a visual presentation of this ancestral activity. You'll see a late 19th-century loom in operation, now restored and motorized. The boutique offers silks made by Lyon's silk artisans.
