PRIEURÉ DE SAINT DONAT
The Palais Delphinal was formerly known as the château-prieuré.
Overlooking the town, the priory was once a monastery. Built of molasse stone, it is a magnificent group of buildings comprising a collegiate church, where religious teachings were given, a chapel, the cloister and its courtyard. As early as the 12th century, a first church was built, followed by conventual buildings that correspond to today's Palais Delphinal, home to splendid 14th-century murals. After the French Revolution, the town bought the site in 1793. The town hall occupied the canons' buildings for over 100 years!
