Château d'Osthouse is the last lowland castle in Alsace whose moat, fed by the River Ill, is still active. The first wing was built in the 15th century. The west wing was built around 1436 by Claus Zorn de Bulach. It was renovated in 1558, according to the inscription on the cellar door.
