Markus is the forerunner of craft beer in the Drôme. Founded in 2001, the famous beer stamped with an open-mouthed hippopotamus head has moved from its Saou premises to vast, modern premises in Cléon-d'Andran, amid barley and wheat plantations. This unfiltered, unpasteurized beer, available in 4 colors and numerous perpetual or seasonal varieties, is still of traditional quality. Lemonade, shandy, tonics, colas and, since 2025, alcohol-free beer and ginger beer are also available. And on the first Friday in August, Markus' summer party!
