BIO ET LOCAL C'EST L'IDÉAL
Initiated in 2006 in the Rhône-Alpes region by Corabio (Rhône-Alpes coordination of organic farming), the "Organic and local is ideal" campaign has been extended to the whole of France since 2012. The idea is to promote short circuits between producers and consumers. The network of organic producers invites you to discover the advantages of consuming organic products in short circuits through this week of promotion and entertainment that takes place at the end of September. Conferences, film-debates, organic and local markets... You will find in the programmes of the local and regional member associations the dates of the events and activities planned, leaflets with practical information on how to buy local organic products as close as possible to your home. The organic and the local do not oppose each other, on the contrary they complement each other. The consumption of locally produced food reduces the number of intermediaries, reduces polluting transport and actively contributes to strengthening the economic vitality of our territories. On the menu: farm sales, markets, baskets, collective points of sale, cooperatives; we remind you that you have many possibilities to find organic products by favouring proximity and seasonality. And, of course, ask for the guide to good organic addresses from the organic producers' group in your department... And keep in mind that a mango, even an organic one, has come a long way and that its carbon impact is not insignificant.
