The Mastrou, a steam train powered by charcoal, took passengers to the famous Lamastre market.

Come aboard the Mastrou, the historic train that has been running along the Chemin de Fer du Vivarais line since 1891, and discover the Doux valley. This little steam train offers a ride at the pace of yesteryear, in a stunning natural setting. At the time, it served all the stations on its route. Today, this "Le Mastrou" line is very busy during the tourist season, and is one of the local sights well worth a visit.

Nice looking train but we were unable to complete the ride due to rocks on the track. We had to back up back to the station.

Balade de 1h30, agréable, un peu onéreuse quand même. La locomotive permet d'admirer de beaux paysages ardéchois, on passe sur des ponts, bien pour les enfants et pratique quand on a des difficultés pour marcher !
