It is undoubtedly thanks to this predisposition that Jean-Noël Berneau, a teacher by trade, has planted 20 hectares of olive trees on the steep lands of his Ardèche estate without any problem. About thirty varieties are thus present, forming a veritable conservatory of Ardèche varieties. Only about fifteen varieties are dedicated to the production of single variety oils. The estate is now in organic farming.
