A museum that invites curiosity. Born in Pont-de-Vaux in 1814, Antoine Chintreuil was a 19th century painter influenced by the beauty of the landscapes of his childhood. Alongside Chintreuil's works, the museum - housed in a beautiful 18th century town house - presents other regional painters. The museum also has a remarkable "Cabinet of Curiosities" distinguishing between naturalia (from unicorn horns to two-headed calves) and artificialia (jewellery, weapons...), works of art brought back from distant countries. A museum to open your mind.
