The museum traces the industrial history of the town of Oyonnax, and features pieces worthy of goldsmiths and machine tools.
From the 18th century, the artisanal manufacture of wooden combs, then horn combs, made the reputation of Oyonnax. At the end of the 19th century, the arrival of celluloid (plastic) changed things. In the 1920s, comb manufacturers expanded their production of other plastic objects. This "Musée de France" retraces the industrial history of the town and presents pieces worthy of goldsmith's art, incredible machine tools and exhibitions of plastic artworks.
