The Espace Comte d'Aranc reminds us that the Hauteville plateau had up to 33 "fruitières", places where the milk of associated farmers was collected to be transformed into cheese or butter. The Aranc dairy is the last one to have kept its appearance since its creation. You can see old utensils used for collecting, making and processing Comté cheese and butter.
