Church with incredible treasures inside at La Tour-d'Aigues.

Notre-Dame-de-Romegas church (11th and 12th centuries) was built on the site of a primitive Roman temple. The interior contains some incredible treasures, including a neo-Romanesque altar and a 17th-century pulpit in natural wood depicting the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. An interesting feature is the wide band of black paint on some of the pillars. This actually corresponds to the liter, which was applied in churches on the death of the King.
