5-star Relais & Châteaux and Michelin-starred restaurant renowned in the Vaucluse region, with attractive lunch and dinner menus in the Bistrot.
This is one of the starred restaurants in the Vaucluse. Marseille-born Xavier Mathieu knows all the gustatory detours of the region. The lunchtime menu at Bistrot le Café de la Fontaine is a fine, attractively priced foretaste of what the Michelin-starred table promises. Tian fondant, tourte provençale, pieds-paquets, cod with leeks, lamb and split peas are all classics on the menu. Lunch is served on the terrace of the dry-stone farmhouse, by the fountain overlooking the Luberon mountains.

The service was professional, but it took until the end of the meal for the staff to become more friendly and personable. Overall, we had a lovely evening.
