The commune of Gigondas is famous for its Dentelles de Montmirail and its renowned wine. It is part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the Vaucluse département and the Carpentras arrondissement. The commune has around 478 inhabitants and covers an area of 2714 hectares. Monuments include a menhir, the Chapelle Sainte Cosme and the Tour Sarrazine.
