A timeless mansion whose owner shares his collector's madness.

Cabinets of curiosities are the ancestors of our museums. But here's one that hasn't changed a bit. In fact, this former Agar hotel, filled over the years with Christian Morand and Véronique Valton's consuming passion for beautiful objects, is now one of a kind. From Neapolitan santons to antique sculptures and contemporary paintings, the sheer number of objects on display in no way detracts from the fascination they inspire. And fortunately, the house is huge. Listed as a Monument Historique, this Ali Baba's cave is a must-see.
