The ascension of Ventoux with snowshoeing is a special and original hiking during winter season. To reach the summit of the Géant de Provence,, many efforts are required whatever methods of climbing you choose. There is a departure at the Chalet Reynard (on the south side) that is affordable for everybody. The asset of this hike is the sunshine when the sky is clear, and the fact that the Mistral blows less in this south part than. The ascent is two hours if you normally walk and reach the top where the weather station is located. When you are back, you can warm up at chalet Reynard by the fireplace while drinking a hot chocolate bowl.
