ATHLETIC CLUB ARLES-AVIGNON
Founded in 1912, the club was exclusively associated with the city of Arles («Athletic Club Arlésien») before becoming «AC Arles-Avignon» during the 2 season after the 2008-2009 season. This association with Avignon is a follow-up to the ban on holding professional meetings in the stadium Fernand Fournier d'Arles (which still serves as a team training ground), too outdated. It is therefore the Parc des Sports d'Avignon - now with 17 518 seats after many renovations - which is the performance theatre of ACA every days. The Provençal formation evolves in League 2 and hopes to settle in the landscape of high-level French football. The amateur section, U 9 (beginners), offers the possibility to evolve at a good regional level (training only in Arles).
