Half way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, as should be the magnificent Edelweiss, and the shopping city, this boutique hotel is situated on the slope that leads us to the most sites of Briançon. Hosted by Grégoire and Typhanie, Edelweiss is composed of two parts. One offers an old pension in the charming rooms. The other presents a more traditional face. We are received by our guests "as at home" and feel quickly like at home in a family atmosphere. An ambience that can be found in the table with traditional dishes such as a veal blanquette, a bourguignon duck or a Burgundian beef. A few metres from the City Vauban, Edelweiss is no further away from the Prorel gondola, which allows direct access to the Serre-Chevalier area. A beautiful flower to be picked in every season.

The advantage of this address is that it is located halfway between the old town (you will have to climb) and the ski slopes of the Grand Serre-Che domain. An address more than a hundred years old (118 years old in 2010!) that is still doing as well as ever and a Bonnaffoux family that is always happy to welcome you to its establishment. A wooded atmosphere and a "rustic-refined" decor to take us to the surrounding mountains. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and particularly well decorated, while the hotel has a private car park and motorcycle garage. The restaurant enjoys a justified reputation by offering on the Logis de France menu a stew of wild boar with blueberries or a beautiful trout from the region with almonds.

This noble stone building is located in the city Vauban, between the two gargoyles, in the heart of the old town. The natural charm is complemented by the well-equipped rooms (telephone, satellite TV…), spacious, colourful and pleasant. The apartments, in the same spirit, also offer comfort adapted to our expectations. After restoration and after a change of ownership, the Auberge de la Paix appears to have declined in quality. Two restaurant rooms, a rustic decoration, refined and flowery in a charming setting. Staying at the Auberge de la Paix means ensuring the authenticity of a charming inn, a journey in the past in the heart of the city.
