Half way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, as should be the magnificent Edelweiss, and the shopping city, this boutique hotel is situated on the slope that leads us to the most sites of Briançon. Hosted by Grégoire and Typhanie, Edelweiss is composed of two parts. One offers an old pension in the charming rooms. The other presents a more traditional face. We are received by our guests "as at home" and feel quickly like at home in a family atmosphere. An ambience that can be found in the table with traditional dishes such as a veal blanquette, a bourguignon duck or a Burgundian beef. A few metres from the City Vauban, Edelweiss is no further away from the Prorel gondola, which allows direct access to the Serre-Chevalier area. A beautiful flower to be picked in every season.

After fill with enthusiasmbeing filled with enthusiasm by the main building and public areas I have to portray you our disillusion at the time when we inside the room.
Points +:
- The room was clean
- Public areas are tastefully decorated
- The main building has a certain charm
- The hotel is well located in relation to the ramparts
- Breakfast was quality
LARGE points -:
- THE ROOM!
Worth knowing: . at the back of the hotel overlooking the containers recycling (across the view is much more pleasant)
. small and not very bright room at night and day
. no effort to the decor and furniture (a painting hanging down hanging from the electric cable tv, mural still carried the traces of the old head...)
. poor insulated
In short I am not at all agreement with the other opinions unless we had the worst hotel room.
