In summer, the tradition of sardinades is in full swing around the Etang de Berre. Many towns offer them, but the one in Port-de-Bouc has that little bit extra in terms of authenticity. A popular festival if ever there was one, this is where friends and family gather around long tables. All around, stalls sell generous plates of seafood. Sardines, of course, but also fried, paella and grilled meats. The atmosphere, the low prices, the conviviality. Concerts and entertainment, rides for children.
