Founded in 1960 by Professor Henri Gastaut, the center treats some 3,000 patients every year. The aim of this reorganization is to refocus the care of epilepsy patients and guarantee them better access to the CHU's technical platforms. The adult neuropediatrics and epileptology departments at La Timone will be resized to accommodate patients from Hôpital Henri Gastaut. Physicians currently working at Hôpital Henri Gastaut will continue to work at La Timone, and patients with scheduled appointments will be contacted to indicate the new location.
