Plage des Catalans, 15 minutes from the Old Port, is the first beach on the Corniche to be reached from the city.
Just 15 minutes from the Old Port, the Catalans' beach has been returned to the public domain in recent years. It offers the opportunity to swim without really leaving the town centre, as it is the first beach on the Corniche. You will have to respect its opening hours: 8.30am to 8pm from April to October, and from 8.30am to 6pm from November to March. Fine sand, showers and toilets, volleyball courts and refreshment bar are all there. Just above, you can admire the very select Club nautique du Cercle des Nageurs de Marseille.
