The museum is held by lovers of these little clay characters, who have made a store and who, all year long, sell the characters from the crèche to the amateurs. In a large room there is an exhibition of nativity from different countries, including the famous private collection Marcel Carbonel. Expressions, attitudes and costumes are different, for a theme that does not change and concerns the Nativity. The entrance is free, just go to the store, nativity of course!

Si vous n'avez pas la chance de visiter Marseille pendant les fêtes et voir son marché aux santons ce musée est fait pour vous.

Tout le monde ne pouvant pas visiter Marseille en novembre/décembre pour voir la Foire aux santons, ce musée tombe à pic. On pourra même en acheter.

Absolutely magnificent, all the history of nativity figures of all countries in a small museum very well laid out and free! Enjoy in to eat at the café abbey just next door, delicious and cheap, without forgetting the St Victor abbey and oven with shuttles in 2 minutes.
