Formerly called Monts de Piété, municipal credits developed in France from the th century to find a new impulse at the beginning of the xxth century. The emblem of Marseille is a griffin, a mythological animal chosen by reference to the symbol of the first Mont de Piety, opened in La Pérouse in Italy in 1462. Sometimes called "the lifeguard", this griffon should give you a chance! Indeed, the main activity of the Municipal Credit is the loan loan: you agree to lend one or more objects (jewellery, furniture, table…) in exchange for a sum of money assessed according to the estimated value of the objects. The contraction is immediate, from the time you justify a home and an identity card. After 6 months, you have the choice between resuming your item by reimbursing the amount loaned plus interest, or extending your contract by settling only interest.
