Karl Gilles is an atypical wine merchant: no doorstep, but a 1973 Citroën tub transformed into a wine truck to praise biodynamic and natural nectars, and friendly skittles for all budgets from €6. Wines, champagnes, ciders, sometimes confidential flasks direct from the winemakers. He's based at the Savoyards traffic circle in Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde. Trained as a sommelier, he worked in the restaurant trade in the 1990s, then for Nicolas in Düsseldorf, before moving to Aix-en-Provence. His advice is sound. Karl is available for deliveries, customized services and aperitif tastings.
