The vineyards in the heart of the Cité city, overlooking the Old Port? a one
extravagance that makes sense. The Independent wine grower respects its land, works its vineyard, gathers its grapes, makes and elevates its wine, bottled its production in its cellar, markets its products and develops with respect for tradition. It welcomes, advises and takes pleasure in presenting the fruit of its work and culture. Responsible, committed (13-point charter) and professionals, they play a leading role in viticulture, with respect for consumers and the environment. They are fully within their territory and the history of the region to produce quality wines, results of a subtle alchemy between man, land and know-how. It is therefore the case that the Federation of Independent Winemakers, the City of Marseille and the Tourist Office have chosen an emblematic place to plant 150 feet of vines (Grenache Noir). The size was opened in March 2011 in square Berthie Albrecht (7 th). It is a preserved space at the heart of a historic heritage of the city: the culture of the vine is an ancestral tradition at St. Victor Abbey. The influence of monks from the fifth in the th century allowed the vineyard to develop considerably and to give another dimension to wine.
