A museum with collections that take you on a journey from the Primitives to the Renaissance to modern masterpieces.

Located in the former priory of the Order of Malta, adjacent to the church of Saint-Jean-de-Malte, the Musée Granet presents permanent collections ranging from Primitive to Renaissance to modern masterpieces. Cézanne features prominently in the museum. Exhibitions of international scope are scheduled: in autumn, a collection of ^17th-century Neapolitan paintings. The Pénitents-Blancs chapel adjoining the museum houses the Planque collection, with almost 300 masterpieces by Picasso, Dubuffet, Renoir, Monet and Gauguin.

Closed January 1, May 1 and December 25. Low season: open Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm to 6pm. High season: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm. Nocturne for Museum Night. Free admission for children under 18. Adults: €9. Reduced admission €7. In low season, full price €6.50, concessions €5.50. Tourism & Handicap label. Guided tour. Gift store. Animations.

Un très beau musée pour découvrir notamment les tableaux de Cézanne.
Les oeuvres exposées sont très diversifiées.
De nombreuses expositions, très bien montées, sont proposées chaque année.
A voir si vous passez à Aix!

Une très belle collection insuffisamment développée au profit d'expositions toujours montées avec soin. Il faut passer au musée lors d'un séjour à Aix.

Cezanne, bien sur, mais aussi des expositions temporaire, quelques sculpture, des exposées archeologiques, tout ça a une prix vraiment abordable. Je le recommande tres fort.
