LES GALINAS - LA TABLE PROVENÇALE
A terrace restaurant run by cousins Florent and Mathieu and their chef friend, offering a wide range of dishes.
La Table Provençale, run by 3 galinas, otherwise known as 3 big boys in Provençal, cousins Florent and Mathieu and their chef friend Florent, has taken the place of La Table Marocaine, a well-known Aix restaurant that closed this year. We sat down and loved the atmosphere, the setting and, of course, the food and wine. That day, we had cèleri rémoulade, lamb tripe with tomato and black olives, and a crêpe flambée for dessert. My tête-à-tête opted for sardinette tapas and fish of the day from Paro's. Next time, we'll try their vol-au-vent... If you like warm, chic bistros, like the bouchons of Lyon or the winstubs of Alsace, this is the place to book. You'll feel like you're among friends here, whether you sit in the small room next to the kitchen or in the dining room across the street. And if you're having a party, the table d'hôtes in a separate room can accommodate a dozen guests.
Tout était parfait … il ne manquait que le dessert au chocolat et les frites ????????????
On reviendra !!! ????????
