Excellent Japanese cuisine with good value for money
This elegant Japanese restaurant, found in a small street perpendicular to the Cours Mirabeau, is worth a stopover. A few steps lead to the two spacious rooms and a pleasant patio. The decoration is in grey, black and red, carpe carpe with honour. You take a seat at a high-in and slate table that you share with other guests. Or around a coffee table sitting on a tree trunk. You can also eat like the show, watching the chef who sits on a hot plate by making his knives tell. Here you can enjoy genuine Japanese cuisine with fresh, carefully selected ingredients. Unlike Asian fast food! Young spinach shoots and black and white sesame seeds are delicious. Tempura (a specialty of the house) are light and crispy, sushi and sashimis perfect, high-quality dishes, beautiful and good, without unnecessary and well-presented frills. The desserts were designed by Philippe Segond. There are also cookery courses (sushi, maki, sake) and the divine Koï for Sunday brunch. And for amateurs, sake tasting in three versions is very interesting. A beautiful initiation of unbeatable value for money. At last, you can purchase the beautiful white porcelain crockery decorated with koï carpe in which you have just spoiled.
