Petit Futé's opinion on CHAPEL OF ST. CLARE

Built in 1481 to protect the village from the plague and also known as San Sebastian Chapel, it does not necessarily attract the eye from the outside, but has an incredible fresco in its interior. Painted by the Piedmontese painter Giovanni Baleison, this fresco, depicting the martyrdom of Saint Sebastian, bears witness to the art of the Renaissance: it is overflowing with writings, characters and moral sentences.

Open all year except winter and bad weather. Key at disposal the morning in town hall Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm or by reservation and with the bar/restaurant opening days.
