MUSÉE DU KITSCH COLLECTIONS GIL CAMATTE ET PIERRE-ANTOINE BIANCHINI
A museum celebrating popular ceramics from the 50s and 70s, housed in the old Madoura workshop store, a must-see
Housed in the former Atelier Madoura boutique in Vallauris, the Musée du Kitsch celebrates popular ceramics from the 50s to the 70s. Gil Camatte and Pierre-Antoine Bianchini have brought together here, after years of hunting all over the world, a collection of modest, touching objects: vacation souvenirs, marine animals and pets in bright colors and naive shapes. A precious testimony to the everyday life of a bygone era, this museum pays tribute to a little-known part of the local heritage, with a touch of nostalgia and an affectionate nod to kitsch aesthetics.
