The air conditioning in our room (Room 15) didn't seem to be working, and also we had problems getting into our safe once it had locked. Room rate expensive for Hotel with no Pool, and room not very big, they also need up-dating. Otherwise, fantastic stay.
The comments below are meant to be constructive. We love your hotel and staff.
Price/quality ratio: We are retired diplomats and travel constantly, especially to countries where we lived and served, including France and Italy. We are familiar with prices in both countries. Since retirement, we visit the south of France and nearby Italy at least once a year and understand prices on the Cote d’Azur are elevated, compared to other areas in France. That said, this year we found prices in Villefranche to be notably high (although not as elevated as some of the other areas along the coast). Villefranche is lovely, and you have a great hotel, with a fantastic location and fabulous views. The room rate rightly takes these factors into consideration. That said, we were generally surprised by prices, including restaurants and parking.
Regarding the bed, we found the king (with 2 twins) to be rather uncomfortable.
Very happy with our. Stay at the hotel welcome..we loved the fact that it wasn't impersonal or formulaic.we know things can go wrong but the lift not functioning was a major issue for us ,we didn't allow it to spoil the holiday.however it nonetheless was treated in a way that minimised the difficulties it posed for older people.Had we known in advance we might gave cancelled the stay..overall though well done
Our stay was unfortunately influenced negatively by an apparent problem with the heating /ventilation system which caused our room (26) to be uncomfortably warm. Our attempts to ameliorate the situation by opening the balcony door resulted in a flashing red light in the harbor interfereing with our sleep; also one night our open door allowed a disturbing low-frequency rumbling sound from a moored vessel to make sleep difficult without earplugs. The problem was apparently corrected on a third and final night there.
