Accommodation in a luxury establishment in Nice
The adventure began in 1878 when the Schmitz family, ancestor of the current owners, bought on the promenade des Anglais two villas to transform them into a hotel obtaining the permission of the family of the Duke of Westminster to baptize this palace in his name. The building has seen over the years the great and the good and today remains a luxury establishment. If the rooms and the lobby have recently been fully modernized, its lounges with frescoes and coffered ceilings remain intact. Le Duc restaurant and the bar offer a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. Note the presence on the 400 m2 of the spa Le 27 with swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, Sothys and Thalgo treatments.

Essayer la tartelette au citron ! Hôtel haut de gamme très bien situé sur la promenade des anglais. Chambres et terrasse avec vue sur la mer. Très bonnes prestations avec personnel très attentif. À recommander pour un séjour réussi.

Really nice hotel. Great location and good value for money. It was a pity the restaurant staff was soo inflexible and could not serve us at 21.30. The claimed to be out of food after dec 31st :-) but our feeling was mote the wanted to go home.

This 4 stars hotel deserves the score I get it to her. We came here for honeymoon, my husband had liver transplanted. So he must have clean room clean dishes. We ordered hotel breakfast to trusted their professionals but their salad has a lot of dirt on the leaves, we saw it until we use hot water dipped the raw leaves. The dirt comes to appear on the bottom. The food manager came first to apologies, but she kept saying she had test other leaves and nothing shows, and also wants to take away the evidence and wanted to send to the lab for testing the dirt. We didn’t ask anything extra, just complain they should pay attention their food. But her attitude is unacceptable. We would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel, no respect, you will not get back what you spend for.

We chose a room with an ocean view at this hotel, enticed by the beautiful vistas. However, the service and amenities were a letdown. Our main issue was with the breakfast. Opting for a takeaway breakfast to our room, we were dismayed to find soil in the vegetables. Upon raising this issue with the hotel, they initially agreed to refund the breakfast cost. Yet, at checkout, we were informed that the refund would only be processed after the manager contacts us by email, a process that seemed unnecessarily prolonged and inconvenient. Already having spent considerable time addressing the issue, the prospect of additional follow-up for a mere 24 euros was frustrating. Moreover, the lack of assistance from the doorman, who only came to our aid with the door after noticing our struggle with luggage and not offering any further help, further marred our experience. Overall, the hotel’s service standards deeply disappointed us, overshadowing the beautiful ocean view and significantly detracting from our overall experience.
