You must leave at 10 am, and you are not allowed to push suitcases into the hotel. No serve for woman and children, what kind of service industry do you have? You can write in the hotel description that families are not welcome ! Please write your rules or close the door. Old man and woman can you go back home? If you don’t like work.

If you want to get closer to the ocean you will get wet. Night manager was nice and couldn't be more helpful. Great employee.

The property is super old, not maintained at all. We asked for extra towels and not only we were treated badly but also told that we have to wait till the next day 4:00 pm to get new towels. We had to checkout early in the morning during the dark times and there was not enough light in the hallways, very dangerous given the fact that we had to carry our heavy luggages down via stairs.
Also to exit we were told to use the back door, at that time of the day it was very scary to be walking alone in dark with luggage to get to the main street.
Staff were not nice at all, barely speaking English.
The room was not clean, dust everywhere. The bathroom was super dirty and smelling like a public bathroom or even worst. We found stuff the previous guests left in the bathroom such as syringe and other medications.

We stayed here for 3 nights amazing location and rooms are okay vintage. But I still recommend folks to stay if you want close to live ocean and want to be budgeted

Racist and totally rude. When we walked by and greeted one of the receptionists, that short hair old lady, she showed a disdainful look. Also the wifi is bad.

What a funny little find. This felt like a grand version of my great-grandmothers house from the 1920's; high ceilings with rounded joints, cracking plaster, marble accents, splintering wood doors, and old wardrobes with contact paper lining on the shelf. This is an old building by the sea; it needs a lot of love, but also brought a lot of charm. This is a wonderful stay for the budget conscious couple or the solo traveler looking to be as close to the beach as possible. Someone with a love of antiques or vintage would be right at home here. I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for a luxury weekend or for families with children. What would be charming to a grownup might be unpleasant or spooky for them.
-----The LOCATION is pretty great. Right across from the promenade, the beach is just a short walk away. (Pack your swim shoes though, cause those rocks are real.) If you get a room with a view of the water, the sunrise and sunset from the little balcony patio are deeply serene. Night life was a 15 minute walk away and there was plenty to see and do. If you want to go farther afield, the bus stop is just down the street.
-----The STAFF were extremely kind and helpful. They welcomed us each time we came in and were good enough to let us leave our bags on the premises for a short time between check out and our train.
-----The BUILDING doesn't seem to have a lift so if you have mobility issues, make sure you mention it before booking so they can arrange a first floor spot for you. There are stairs into the lobby so if you are a wheelchair user, you will need to keep looking. Walls are a bit thin (as is common for an older building) so guests need to be noise conscious and courteous.
-----The ROOM had strong reliable air conditioning and a programmable safe. No fridge or hairdryer. The bathroom is very tiny and you can tell that fighting the mold is a losing battle.
-----CLEANLINESS was good, but not great. I can't lie, I was a bit worried with the age of the property, but the floor was swept and the furniture was brushed. My only complaint was that there is dust coating the walls about halfway down the ceiling. This is actually *very* common with any building that has high ceilings, but I would love to see them brushed down.
-----A NOTE: The front gate closes early when the staff lock up. If you arrive later than that you have to come in "the back way." You *must* notifiy the hotel if you believe you will be checking in after dinner time. They explain this a bit confusingly in English so to help you out- A few of the hotels share a parking lot. To enter after hours you have to come in through a locked gate a few villa's down and walk through the back parking lot to the rear hotel door. It will also be locked, but they give you a key.
