French cuisine in a chic bistro near Promenade des Anglais

Within walking distance from the famous Promenade de Anglais, Rina Restaurant is an good restaurant whose decoration evokes the atmosphere of an authentic chic bistro and a New York loft: wooden floor with red bricks sometimes white, round or square tables covered with a white napkin, and large mirrors. The chef Kamal Al Rineh, native of Nice and also founder of the success of the restaurants L'Ybane and La Carafe in New York, is at the helm of this good address. The tasty à la carte menu offers some must-eat French gastronomy: fried mussels, onion soup, chicken tagliatelle, salads... an excellent wine list goes with them. We also particularly appreciated the waiters' team, who are attentive and very caring, providing good advices and always gracious, making each tasting one moment of joy and sharing. Highly recommended!

In one word, just a "SCAM".. This place is the reason why we must be extremely cautious when going as a tourist.. Prices are above the clouds.. The food is not as good as that level of price would suggest.. The waiter barely spoke in english, no spanish whatsoever, and he deceived us by offering us water without saying it had a so obscene price (€7.50). The water is sold as "Evian", but it wasn't, it was just a long beautiful clear bottle with no marks and just a cork; water from the pipes, I'd think.. Very bad experience.. The only thing I could say it was good was the pizza, it had a good size and good flavor..
