LE LAVOIR DE TROUSSANE
The village of Le Rouret boasts a number of washhouses that bear precious witness to rural life in bygone days. Among them, the Lavoir de Troussane, accessible from the Saint-Pons church via the Chemin du Billard, is one of the most emblematic. Built in 1959, it offers a pleasant cool break in the heart of the greenery. Its ashlar pool is sheltered by a gabled roof of canal tiles. It is completed by a fountain with a monolithic basin and a trough linked by a stone-cut gutter, forming a harmonious and authentic whole.
