Transformed into a restaurant of choice, this former girls' school dating back to 1929 has nothing scholastic about its dishes, which give pride of place to fresh, seasonal produce. Wonderful french food and good value for money. We had foie gras with apricot for a starter which was delicious. For mains we had fish and supreme de volaille. Both were served with a selection of vegetables, which were delicious. For dessert we had a pavlova with exotic fruit, a chocolate tarte, and cooked figs with a mascarpone cream. All were very nicely done.

I would have liked to see more vegetarian options - there were no vegetarian main course options.
