Ideally located next to the Provencal market, this small Italian canteen-like table offers a tasty culinary escape in an intimate and charming setting. The owners share their accent and their passion for good things. On the wall, the slate frames reveal dishes with unmistakable Italian flavours as well as typical Côte d'Azur specialities. The antique furniture, antique objects and the small grocery corner add to the conviviality of the place. It's a pity that the quality of the welcome is uneven from day to day.

What an absolute treat! Now and again, you come across an absolute little gem of a place, after a bunch of disappointments. Mamalu is exactly that. Attentive, friendly service expertly managed by the owner's brother, piping hot main courses - I don't think I've ever had such a good rendition of meat lasagna - served by a very competent Italian owner/chef, excellent ambiance and a lovely chat with them all at the end of the evening. Restaurant très chouette, intimiste et convivial.
La nourriture est au top en terme de quantité et de qualité.
Nous avons pris des pâtes aux palourdes et un vitello tonnato, un très bon vin comme on l'aime et un tiramisu
J'y retournerai sans doute.

The ambiance is super romantic and cozy
Dim lighting and jazz music with art everywhere
Service is friendly and efficient

Now the dish to go for is definitely
Linguini Al frutti di mare
I asked for extra spicy
Not disappointed and the portion is very generous and at 25 euros for the dish
The sea food is indeed in the plate not empty shells like in many tourist trap kind restaurants
