Notre-Dame-de-Beauvoir chapel, surrounded by a terrace planted with walled cypress trees, considered a place of devotion

Arriving in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, you can't help but be enchanted by its chapel, visible between the two cliffs overlooking the village. Built between the 12th and 16th centuries, it was listed as a historic monument in 1921. The chapel is famous for its "suscitations". In the 17th century, stillborn babies were reincarnated here during their baptism, enabling them to reach heaven. See the fourteen stations of the Stations of the Cross.

Good walk. Agree beware slippery stones (the chapel is hundreds of years old!) especially on the way down. Appears to have connectors to the star chain hike but we did not go to that. Has bits and pieces of ruins everywhere.

Nous n'avons pas pu visiter la chapelle. La montée est sur des galets très glissants. Nous n'avons fait qu'une partie et sommes redescendus. Dommage que cela ne soit pas signale au début du sentier.

Superbe édifice, l'intérieur est vraiment très joli. Point de vue magnifique sur Moustiers-Sainte-Marie et les environs. Même de nuit cela reste splendide. En y allant tranquillement, en prenant le temps, la Chapelle est accessible à tous.
