Markets Forcalquier

The weekly market of Forcalquier is one of the most famous markets of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages. Every Monday, it brings together several thousand people who come to enjoy the presence of 200 exhibitors. In the summer, it grows by 50 merchants. A real institution! On the stalls: fruits and vegetables, seafood, butchery, organic and natural products, local producers and craftsmen and artists (terracotta, fabrics ...) but also clothing, furniture, toys ... A meeting place not to be missed.

Every Thursday afternoon, the Place du Bourguet hosts the "organic and peasant market", created and co-managed by the association "Se tourne au Sol" and the town hall of Forcalquier. About fifteen local farmers and craftsmen offer you all year long quality products from their production: bread, cheeses (ewe, goat), vegetables, fruits, meat (pork and poultry), eggs, saffron, honey, pizza cooked in a wood fire.... all in a friendly and warm atmosphere!
