A reserve recognized as an international wetland, with an extremely rich fauna and numerous paths between the ponds.

This 142-hectare nature reserve boasts numerous paths winding between ponds created by the old millstone quarries. The area is teeming with an extremely rich fauna and a mysterious, fertile moor. Take out your binoculars to observe the fifty species of dragonfly and the emblematic pitchou warbler. An international wetland, protected by the Ramsar label since 2021, an interpretation trail allows you to delve into the life of Le Pinail.

Nous avons adoré arpenter les sentiers de la Réserve, malgré la pluie ! On s'y croirait seuls au monde et le paysage de landes est dépaysant, même lorsque l'on a l'habitude de la nature. La diversité de la faune et de la flore est incroyable, on a croisé plein de petits animaux et insectes.

Went for a walk with our almost 3-year old and baby (in carrier), and the toddler walked most of the way himself. There is an interactive part we didn't make use of but looks really cool with slightly older kids. We saw a bunch of cool animals and nature. Most of the route is in open fields so be mindful of sun protection.
