Farci poitevin is an unmissable local Poitou specialty. In days gone by, everyone used to make it with garden vegetables. If you'd like to try this cooked vegetable pâté surrounded by cabbage leaves, head to Sommières-du-Clain. The company has been making it by hand for some thirty years. It has won several awards in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine flavors competition. A sure bet! And you'll also find other local specialties: roulade de sommières, pâté marmite, black pudding, Charentais crickets...
