Restored with talent and a taste for great history by an association of passionate volunteers, and open to the public for over twenty years, this site is the best-preserved Biehler-type fort in Europe! This superb monument to European military architecture of the late 19th century is part of Strasbourg's German fortified belt, built in 1872. You'll visit the Gorge parade ground, the barracks, the artillery quarters, the rampart and its armament, the moat and its defenses, the glacis and the fort's surroundings.

dégradations qui l'ont affecté quand il a été malheureusement squatté. On ne peut que saluer le dévouement de l'association qui l'entretient, malgré ses moyens financiers limités. Seul regret: On ne dispose malheureusement pas suffisamment de temps pour consulter les intéressants documents des deux expositions
permanentes de ce conflit incluses dans la visite, qui vaut malgré tout le déplacement.
