Two dolmens at the Fontaine de Son, Neolithic remains at Saint-Léger-de-Montbrillais
The two dolmens of the Fontaine de Son are vestiges of the Neolithic (which extended in Europe from about 6500 BC to about 2100 BC). The first dolmen, about 7.50 m long, is characterized by its Angevin type, with a portico that opens to the northeast. The second dolmen is partially in ruins, but its cover table remains monumental, with its 6 m length and 4.50 m width. Both dolmens are classified as historical monuments since 1955.
